114060 incoming

I have been eyeing one of these for years and passed on one at an AD 3 years ago and it bothered me ever since. Bought several watches to try to fill to void and it didn’t do. I bit the bullet and ordered pre owned for Tourneau as they service the watch and include a two year warrantee with the mov’t. Sound be here early next week (damn Labor Day). Will post pics once received!

Welcome to the club, it's a beautiful watch and looks better in person than in pics.

I warn you it ruins the need for any other watch. I collect watches but find I always go back to the sub. Thread needs photos, here is one to scratch the itch.
Congrats!

Congrats! After 25 years of buying/selling watches, it's the only watch I wear now.

Big congrats! My one and only... and as such my daily. Like reading the comments made from others that have larger collections and find this is the one that gets worn the most.

Thank you all! I plan on this being my daily. I already own a 14060, date just, seamaster and speedmaster. Can wait to get my hands on this baby! Just a few more days

Congrats!
I concur. As a matter of fact, if the lume was better on my 14060M I’d sell off the rest of my collection. Well, except for my 16750, and my Speedy Pro and...oh never mind! Regardless I also tend to gravitate back to my Sub as a daily.

Congrats on the pickup! Wonderful watch.

When I originally cold called the closest 5 ADs I had one offer to “take my name down and get back to me in 4-5 months” I didn’t even bother. Nothing wrong with the 114060

The one AD I called said, “ it’s discontinued and all the new pieces will be sold, you won’t see Rolex supplying anymore 114060 models”

Congratulations! It is a fantastic piece.
My first Rolex, even though I got it delivered together with a DJ41.
I plant to leave it to the next generation.

My story is somewhat similar:
Back in Dec 2016, local AD had it for me within 2 weeks - times were different back then. I passed on as I could not justify spending EUR 6,900 for a watch.

I subsequently tried it out on a couple of occasions early 2017 in two different ADs in Prague and Amsterdam - again passed on. I thought I could get it tax free at one of the airports as I was travelling a lot back then.

Fast forward to May 2020 - I paid EUR 7,500 full MSRP after waiting 6 months...
