RIP Lou Brock, STL Cardinals.
Great player. Very fast. 81 years old. Sad to hear, admired him!

I met him on a couple of occasions. Great guy to talk to. Very proud of his career, but humble as to the fortune he had to get the opportunities to play MLB. Damn diabetes really impacted him later in life. A great player. RIP.

My first post here on the forum.
I saw Lou steal 104 and 105 with my Dad at Busch Stadium II. I had a broken arm and my Pop somehow got us in the dugout before the game to have players sign my cast. My Dad died a couple years later and that memory is one of the finest I can recall with him. Lou Brock was my favorite growing up in St. Louis, so this one hits home. RIP Lou. |
