First Rolex, OP41 color dilemma
Currently have requested the bright blue from my AD. Not sure how long to plan on waiting. Wanted to get my name in ASAP after hearing how hard new releases can be to obtain.
Starting to wonder if I went too conservative and should change the request to the green dial. Really like most of the colors just wanted somewhat of a GADA piece. I also don’t want to hassle my AD everytime I change my mind on OP colors. Ideally would be able to see these in person before deciding. Any advice on how to move forwards? Probably just gonna ask him to let me know when any OP’s come in so I can see them in person. Anyone else considering the bright blue? It’s oddly not in many of the video reviews. Seemed to even be absent at Rolex HQ on the release day. Decisions, decisions |

Imo the tiffany is the wrong shade of blue for the OP and isn’t the best colour. If you’re going to do colour, go bold with yellow or red. Otherwise, go conservative with others.

I believe OP is referring to the much darker shade of blue that Rolex is calling “bright blue” as opposed to the turquoise color. This and “bright black” look to be the safest and most versatile choices

If bright blue is anything like the datejust blue, no brainer.

Thought about “Tiffany” blue since We are about to have our first son, but I don’t think I’d enjoy wearing the color long term. |

To each their own; if it was me, I'd have a hard time deciding between green or red. Comparatively speaking, maybe the green and red vs a new sub.....or one of every color vs new sub from grey dealer at 25G, LOL. Good luck in your decision.

just choose the colors you like, as you can ask RSC to change to a different one in the future, of course at a cost, not very cheap but you will have a new watch when you change mind

The green is pretty conservative. The green is very muted in real life. It’s like the green on the old gold GMT2c if you remember it. Nice, but not “out there” at all.

The bright blue is kind of conservative next to the other OP colours. I like it but it's not in my top 3. I really like that yellow and turquoise, perhaps even more so than the green I initially loved. It's going to be hard to decide. I told my AD to call me when any colour comes in. Will probably never call me though, haha haha!

Bright blue looks to be a sunburst finish and I'll bet is very nice in person. IDK how much, if any, different it is than other blue dials like on DJ. If you have a bunch of blue watches already, maybe you should go a little bolder in color but otherwise it seems to be a good still somewhat conservative but not overly dull color.

I ordered the Bright Blue OP41. AD agrees that it is very similar if not identical to the DJ41 blue. But since we both haven't seen it in person, hard to tell. I did like the limited videos and images I've seen online.
I'm generally pretty boring though with color choice. So take that for what it's worth. Good luck and post pics when you get it. |

Then 100% the bright blue or black for a datejust alternative. I had both black and blue. I wanted a more conservative color so went for black. But got bored of it and really like the blue and traded it in for it. Best of both worlds, sometimes looks navy/black and sometimes pops with a brilliant blue in the light. Give it a look.

I ordered the Bright Blue too. Hopefully Rubber B and Everest can have some nice bands out soon for it.

Gonna go with the Turquoise and Yellow OP's. Bright blue looks nice but have it with my blue dial YM40. Living in FL, the turquoise and yellow should be outstanding.

Definitely will be nice for FL! Maybe they are actually targeting snow birds and retirees, not millennials!

I’m not the biggest fan of the increased case size, however I totally see the appeal for the yellow. I just think if you’re gonna do it, go all in. Otherwise lots of other safe alternatives within the range and other brands.

I think I’ll know for sure after millenary watches posts a video of the blue one. In a last second surprise the silver has taken first position... for now
