Any reason...

There’s such a huge hype on the 50th anniversary olive green dial Day Date? I’ve seen these things being presented as if they’re super elusive and hard to get all over my social media.. I remember walking in to the AD and they were readily available at a discount, what’s up with the news hype?

Just an another move by gray dealers on Instagram trying to manipulate the market price by posting a photo of DD40 RG Olive Green saying this will be discontinued or whatever.

Buy what you love, don't buy into the hype!

I agree, I’ve also seen this particular reference the most in the wild, possibly because it’s quite eye catching but in all fairness I’m not getting the hype.

I personally prefer the classic yellow gold day date - champagne dial.

The question was more geared towards am I missing something? Lol all the greys I know on IG have been posting it as if it’s an ever so elusive Pepsi!
