Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah BATMAN!

Emailed my ad randomly last night to see if anything was coming through the shop and I guess I emailed at the right time because ...BATMAN!! I really never considered the watch until I had the opportunity but pulled the trigger right away and I love it! The bracelet is awesome, watch is awesome! My local AD is a champ I haven’t spent enough there over the years to earn any special treatment, I just genuinely like the dude and think I emailed at the right time.. so stoked! A couple other guys in the shop seemed pretty jelly when I was getting it sized ;), goes to show... even in a small market ADs could sell it as soon as it hit a case.. huzzah, happy day! (My wife was a bit annoyed w the new purchase but what’s new?)

Congrats! Same here I visited my AD last month and reminded them that I'm still down with SDJC and got a phone call 2 weeks after that visit to pick up JCSD.

Congrats OP!!!!

Guess there might have been a recent shipment from the mothership on these. I recently mentioned to my AD that I wanted to add something on a jubilee (my other pieces are all oyster) and I got a text on Wed that he just got a Batman in. The worst part was waiting for the FedEx guy yesterday.

The jubilee is really comfortable to wear and the blue pops in the light!!

Thanks all. Yes the jubilee is the most comfortable bracelet by far. My first Rolex almost 20 years ago was on a jubilee and I’ve missed it.. I was joking with the jealous guys in the shop that if I put it on a nato my wife would prob not notice the new buy (since I had my sub on a nato) and they were like DONT PUT THAT ON A NATO haha. It’s a great watch, congrats to you as well!!

Congrats OP! The BLNR is the watch in my collection that I wear the most!

This story is super interesting, and I think sheds some light on the "long waitlist issue" that so many have. The OP was able to buy a watch that typically has a long list even though he had never considered it before. Most of the time these aren't lists that get filled from top to bottom. Getting in touch at the right time, being a good repeat client, and sometimes just being likeable can go a long ways to being allocated a hard to find watch.

To your waitlist post, and not saying anything about the dudes in the shop today or anyone in particular.. or even that it applies to my situation but ... being nice is it’s own reward. my bet is some big spenders are awesome people that SA’s can’t wait to call but I also bet a lot of people in high end sales gigs think a lot of their customers are arrogant jerks and remember the nice ones. In my job, I know I treat everyone with love but I find myself cutting fees and going way above and beyond for humble kind people way more than I might think to for people who email me in ALL CAPS and fuss at my downstream staff... :) anyways I’m so stoked on this watch and glad I have a forum to share my excitement without seeming like an arrogant prick like if I posted about it on Facebook, thanks all!

This is absolutely correct! Finding a SA that you get along with is a huge step in this hobby. If you walk in and just start rattling off your wishlist you'll likely never get the call. I'm so happy that this worked out for you like it has for a many of us!
