Platinum DD40 Dials?

Wondering if members with Platinum DD40 or DDII 41s with dials OTHER than the Ice blue could post pics. This is next on my list. Seems the vast majority of people choose the iconic ice blue, but the DD40 for example is available in some other nice dial choices. I am particularly interested in the dark blue dial on the DD40; hard to find wrist pics online since they are apparently so uncommon. Thanks in advance.

The exclusivity of the ice/ glacier blue dial is part of the allure for the platinum DDs.

I understand. But it’s not really for me. Was hoping to see some folks with other dials post some wrist shots. Since there isn’t really anywhere I can go and see several of them lined up in the flesh.

I believe the non ice blue dials would need to be special ordered by the AD on behalf of a customer. Rolex wouldn’t dare send one of these non ice blue dialed pt watches to an AD without a customer already committed. The 36mm was often found in silver however. I like the black dial pt dd40. Super under the radar.

There are other dials available but the Olive dial on the PT DD40 looks out of place without the fluted bezel to me.

If I was going to buy a PT and opt for a different dial other than ice blue I would get the traditional silver striped motif. It looks great and its significantly cheaper.

Never knew they did the olive dial in platinum. Tried on the white gold one today I really like it and it’s not a colour I traditionally would buy. I love the dd40 but agree with you about the fluted bezel, just in general stops me from buying one but I guess they have to distinguish from gold somehow.

Yes I know. Since I really don't care for the glacial/ice blue I was hoping there might be some other forum members with wrist shots of non-glacier/ice blue dials. I am particularly interested in the dark blue with roman numerals... or the black with diamond markers. Thanks in advance.

Anyone know the RRP of the plat DD40s in the UK? Is it the same price for the ice blue motif as with other dials?

The dark blue is also in white gold. Perhaps someone with that can post.
