Now 7 months has passed...CHNR as a daily....
Not a collector here, or speculator. My watch collection is at 1....
I bought my CHNR back in March after emailing a few ADs local to me, and I got lucky. You can read about my 8 day wait in my incoming thread here: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=729514 I just wanted to post here today to show a well loved daily wearer after 7 months. I'm still smitten by this watch. It's the best looking watch I've ever seen.... Here are some pictures today in the sunshine. The rose gold disappears almost in the sun and looks all stainless. Very lowkey and subtle. And the creamy caramel color on the insert is perfection.... |

It looks like you set your GMT hand to "fuck it"
Looks nice though. Wish they offered it in classic Root Beer color with cream bezel and brown dial |

The first-ever GMT-Master II to feature rose gold. And an instant classic.
I’ve had mine for just under a year and absolutely love it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I absolutely cannot believe your wore that watch. Should have left all the stickers on in the box full kit double bubble wrapped in a safe and then bring the safe and put it in an undisclosed location that is constantly moving (possibly offshore) so that not even you know where it's at. Access to the watch should only be with iris, fingerprint, voice recognition, handwriting sample, dental record, and DNA.
All jokes aside, great looking watch and glad you are enjoying it the way it was meant to be. |

Looks great! I love the Rootbeer.
It's crazy how the first scratch can matter so much, but then afterwards every other one pales in comparison. It's like a mental roadblock you just have to get past. |

I wish I loved this reference, but I just don’t. I guess to each their own... Glad that you’re loving it. Wear it in good health.

Great post. This is what we should be seeing a lot more of, people who own and enjoy their watch. That’s the point, right?
Not, look at my mint condition watch on a featherbed, here’s a quick shot before I hide it back in the safe! Very nice.

Heck yes! Using it like you're supposed to. It's an awesome watch, and I think with the mix of rose gold and stainless - an excellent choice for a daily. Mine is in a six watch rotation, but the scratches are becoming plentiful.
Thanks for sharing OP, and glad you're wearing the watch - and it's not wearing you. |

TRF needs more like you.
TRF needs more true enthusiasts who wear their timepieces daily 24/7 and enjoy them (flippers can go to h-ll). hotel-derby-thank-you-2018-600x400.jpg

The warm look of the RG and that bezel is a thing of beauty. Sounds like you found "the one".

It looks fantastic. I’ve always expressed my opinion on the forums for people to NOT be scared by PCL’s. They’re great for daily wear, very versatile and actually hold up quite well. Thanks for being a soldier!

Thank y’all for the support. With this watch, I don’t think there’s a need for another one. I’m of the opinion any watch goes with any attire. Let’s not get too vain.... :)

I did that with my sub ceramic. Still not happy. I wear a Tudor to the office now to afford those scratches and the better watches on the nights out away from the work desk.

So glad you’re enjoying your watch. Easily my favorite watch I’m not on a list for. I’m part “I’m not a gold guy” and part “I need some gold in my collection”. Love the clasp pic. Good for you

Glad to see yours getting so much run. Watches were made to be worn and Rolex makes a very sturdy product. Soap and water daily, a polishing cloth here and there, and a service every 5 years is all they need.

Thank you tremendously for posting. This hasn’t been on my radar but I’m worried it could be something on my list in the next 4 years or so!!
