How long did you wait before you got "the call"

Just wondering. I am in no hurry, so I won't go grey market. But I am looking at a new green bezeled sub to add to the collection. I have had a GMT II for years, and recently picked up a Tudor BB Blue (rose logo). I put my name in to a local AD that my GMT actually came from years ago. Don't have a "relationship" with them other than that due to distance from where I live. But I wanted to get a feel for the real wait times people are seeing.

Thanks

That is a popular one. It might take longer then other models. I would say about 6 months or sooner if you’re lucky!cal your AD once a month for a friendly chat!

This seems like a short wait. You have a good relationship with your AD?

1 day for a black dial Daytona right at the start of the pandemic just before everything shut down. No prior purchase history, my local AD out here in middle America.

I don't expect I'll ever be able to replicate that kind of "right place at the right time" any time in the future.

I waited less than a year for my JC Deep Blue which arrived in 2016, in 2017 I waited about a year for my white dial Daytona ceramic. You my friend set the best wait time ever for a Daytona C! Should be in the record books...

same, but I showed up at my AD on September 1st soon after the AD opened and I was able to secure their first submariner delivered three weeks later. But right now, it's likely too late, OP's AD probably has a long list of customers waiting for their call.

I've just recently been 'added to the list'...so at about one week I cannot even hazard a real guess.

I'm looking at either a Explorer II w/ white dial, a Submariner with date, or a GMT II blue/black bezel.

This is a spaghetti drawing of wait times/ relationship building/ waiting. I'm in zero rush though.

Put a deposit on a new release OP for the wife and asked for consideration on a BLRO. One week later got the call for it. I'm sure this is no the norm but it happened.

I waited about 6 months for a 116500 Black, and about three weeks for a 124060 Sub.

All of my other watches involved no waiting at all. The glory days.

I think you’re a bit off in the new Batman. It came out in March of 2019 so it can’t be 2.2 years wait

Other than the fact my GMT II was originally purchased there years ago, no long standing relationship. I am around 90 miles away, so it's not easy to regularly shop there. Bummer. well, we will see. I want to say it's been a month.

I waited just under a week, but I have a 24 year relationship and pretty solid purchase history with this AD. I will say this, since the Sport SS market has heated up on almost their entire lineup, this is by far the shortest time I’ve had to wait for a requested watch. Maybe Rolex is producing more in this model?
