What's another week to wait for a new Sub Date?

So, I awoke Wednesday morning with what I was sure was COVID. I don't get sick often and this was kicking my A$$ by days end Wednesday. I went for the drive through COVID test yesterday and fortunately, my result came back negative this morning. My wife is a teacher, so I think that helped with the fast track test and result.

As I lay sick, but recovering on my sofa this morning... my phone's going buzz, buzz, buzz and I can see who is calling... my AD! I ask... "what do you have for me today" and the reply... "you wanted the new Sub Date, correct?". Well, damn the luck. I explained my situation of being ill, but was definitely still interested. Needless to say, he was very grateful for me not coming in to get he and his staff sick. I will pick up sometime next week when I am sure I will not be contagious with whatever I have. Thankfully not a COVID diagnosis on the same day I got the call for my first Rolex.

By the way, I can't say enough about the front line workers who are sacrificing so much each and every day. Amazing people.

Get well first and go bring that gorgeous Sub afterwards.
Congrats in advance. :-)

Get well soon... This is a waiting week for everyone. Good for you for getting the call and your AD for being reasonable based on your situation.

You have patience. If they called me for a BLRO I couldn’t be patient. I’d have to “phone a friend” or something.

And congrats.

I’d have that watch before a week. I’d figure out something.

Thanks everyone.

I am now having regrets about telling my AD that I am under the weather. I am feeling much better now than I was this morning. I have been waiting for several months, so a few more days will just make it all the sweeter!

Oh no! I am now feeling great after several days of what turned out to be food poisoning (rancid milk). I called my AD this morning to tell him I am ready to come in, but out of an abundance of caution, he asked me to wait another week to be sure it isn't something other than food poisoning (ie COVID or flu). It is not only waiting another week, but he is having a 3 day Rolex open house tomorrow thru Thursday! He promised my Sub Date was set aside, but it is a bit concerning for sure with all that foot traffic incoming. It's going to be a long week.

Very responsible for you to wait, I know it would be killing me in anticipation!
