Serti Dial 16613 - Bracelet Question

Gents,

I'm being offered this Yellow/Champagne Serti Sub for $9,200 - it seems to have the hollow-end links and the clasp doesn't have yellow gold running all the way thru it.

I'm going to go check it out in person to see how it wears (Lately after getting used to my Daytona, I find even the new Pepsi slightly lunky/big on my wrist).

Do you think:
1. The price is fair?
2. The bracelet not having yellow gold all the way thru is a deal-breaker?

Any thoughts/advice would be highly appreciated.

Edit: It's an E Series, Circa 1991.

No gold through the clasp is a deal breaker for me.

I had, at one point, such a watch...and I still get nauseas when I think about how it looked in person. One of Rolex's worst looks over the years, IMO. There's no way in hell I would pay that kind of money for such an epic failure of design.

But hey, that's me.

1. Check other prices in your area.

2. That's how the bracelets from that era were. Expecting to find an older watch with a modern bracelet/clasp could be a very long wait.

The knurls on the crown and bezel ring have been over polished to the point they are rounded and no longer crisp. For that amount of money I would expect a watch in better condition that hasn't been beat by the buffing wheel.

I have yet to see it in person so I might end up having the same reaction as you lol.
