Tudor Marine Nationale

I have been on the hunt for a Tudor snowflake Marine Nationale,
and recently came across this particular piece - a 7016 M.N.74

Can any of you experts help me identify if this is an authentic MN?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Caseback engraving looks intriguing but photos are terrible and highqual photos of inside of CB could help. What is the first 5 of serial? Or DM all 6.

Need more photos (including straight shot of back and CGs) and why is the pixelization? Trying to hide site? If someone is sending you those pixelated. RUN.

If someone wants to sell you a 15-25K watch they should at least send quality #($#)(*$ photos.

So I'm guessing that the seller is a stranger. Is there any credible provenance?

Thanks for your insight. Definitely need better photos. Was wondering if there were any obvious signs of not being legitimate, but I guess there's too little information to tell.

They seem to be like a consignment distributor. Perhaps that's enough reason to stay away from it.

You will just have to do your homework. If he is responsive, and willing to send the photos you request, you may be able to verify the watch with some effort. With no provenance or paperwork, the serial number will be critical IMO. Try to get photos of the serial number, not just the number. If he starts to make excuses about why he can't send you certain photos, that is going to be a red flag. I also don't understand why certain parts of those photos have been blurred. It's a bit suspicious. You may want to confirm that it isn't a scam and that he actually has the watch.

Do all of these have the serials engraved into the inner caseback? I love the pixelated date aperature.... but there shouldn’t be a date

No. Tudor MNs generally do not have serial #s inside caseback. There are other things but not the serial.

The quality of the pictures is below par however from what I can see, the inside underside edges of the lugs are suspiciously sharp and crude. If you want feedback about the watch, you'll need to obtain better pictures and include the serial number especially since it lacks papers. Otherwise you could try the one they have listed for auction at Phillips and at Tajan.

I agree on the photos but disagree on the underside edges of the lugs. There are actually a few traits than indicate the case is a legit and unpolished Tudor Sub.

That said there seems to be dimples from endlinks, not something usually seen on an M.N.

Thanks for your amazing support guys.
I'm the one who did the blurring because I didn't want to offend the seller. I'll post additional photos (hopefully tons better than current) once I receive them.
Thanks again:)

Hi
Certain serial number ranges are allocated to MN so the serial number is critical. Also check service marks-certain signatures are helpful. The wide font can indicate where the engraving was done and point to which near base it was issued too. there are more but good places to start.
Best wishes
