All ADs are getting less. Could be covid or could be that a static number of watches is being shared by an ever increasing pool of ADs.

Rolex did shut down for a while.
https://usa.watchpro.com/exclusive-r...ng-facilities/ Also demand seems to have subjectively INCREASED at ADs. Just ask them. Many reasons why. Might be folks who are able just wanting to bring home some joy during difficult times. |

Rolex typically slows down in December and will be done by mid-december and shut until end of January for the holidays

I think no one knows! Me personally I think they made all those watches and left them in the vault and shipped them out little by little to ads across the globe.

Stock def limited due to the shut down of factories and other suppliers. I am sure there is a contingency plan to manage the stock levels to keep the impact to minimum.

If the recent article in Forbes shared by Eliot recently is any indication, then yes, Id say its had an impact.

Seems to me availability has increased as opposed to decreased.

Rolex supply shortage due to covid ?
I think that article points up something that has affected production greater than the shutdown itself...
Patek Philippe Production Down 30 Percent Due To Pandemic Also necessitated during the pandemic in its early stages was a shutdown of all Swiss watch manufactures for about a month. That shutdown, along with subsequent safety measures that limited the number of watchmakers and other technicians who can work in the manufacture at once, led to production loss of about 30 percent. A month away from the factory would typically yield about a 10% impact. The higher ongoing production reduction is due to safety measures that could last until 2022. I imagine a contributing factor is that the Chinese economy is doing extremely well. A friend in Beijing who deals in jewelry says sales have never been better.

Rolex will shut down next month, as they do every year. It has nothing to do with Covid
