Suggestions for a Silver Daily

So I’ve decided I want to pick up a good daily for me. When I say Daily, I mean a watch that can be dressed up or down, can be worn on a bracelet or straps, and isn’t really a tool watch so no chronos/divers, etc. Water resistance also doesn’t matter.

Here are my requirements:
- Silver/Grey dial or possibly white
- Under $4k (used pricing is fine)
- Under 40mm (40 if it’s a stunner)
- Under 13mm thick
- Established Swiss brand (no micros, no german/Japan, etc)

Here are a few I’ve considered but not checking all boxes:

Omega A/T - the 38.5 are nice, but a little thicker than I would prefer. The older 2503.xx are under consideration since they are thinner

JLC Master date- maybe just a bit too dressy and doesn’t have a stock bracelet

Longines Master collection - would be more heavily considered if the white/silver dial had applied indicies

Ulysse Nardin 263-22 - love this watch but not sure if I want to spend $3k on a 20 year old watch. I also don’t like that it’s an ETA but has a UN PR module that makes it more difficult to service locally

Breitling Navi 1 - the 38mm silver version is nice but I don’t like the rose gold accents. I do like the blue dial version though and it is being considered even though it’s not silver.

...And others but don’t want to drag this on too much. Do you have any suggestions for me?

FYI, my current collection (if that helps) consists of a Grand Seiko GMT, a Glashutte Original Sixties, an Omega Seamaster Pro, a ML Chrono, and a few others.

Yeah, it’s probably the best choice for my requirements but I’d much prefer the newer models if only they were thinner!

Too bad you said no to Japanese. Love the grand seiko SBGW231, 37mm manual. There’s an automatic equivalent too

How about the Omega Railmaster, the 39mm version (2503)?
I own one and and love it. Goes great with straps (nato and the like) but also can be dressed up with a bracelet.

My vote goes for the UN. Leather, rubber or bracelet, dress it up or down and is waterproof. This is my slightly older piece from 1996 but is a stunner.

Yeah I’ve been eyeing these pretty hard. Is it worthy of a $2.5-3k price tag over say a newish Aqua Terra or something similar? That’s been my concern.

As always go with the piece you love, they are all great pieces at this level.

I know you said no tool watches or waterproof needs but it looks like your collection needs a Rolex . Look at preowned Explorer or airkings. Datejust maybe or regular oyster preowned.
Just throwing some spice in the mix. Maybe a Tudor. You have some great choices in that range. These are also easier to trade if you want to trade, sell, or upgrade.

There isn’t a Rolex I like in that price range, but Tudor is a good suggestion.

OP41(39.5mm) Silver is pretty hard to beat but I know you meant non-Rolex options and $5900 is over your budget.

Well truth be told very well. ETA chrono grade movements are superb workhorses and the equal of any other manufacturers, this piece on a winder takes far less winding than my 5711.
The pieces are solid and well made and the bracelet is superb. This piece also has a grand feu enamel dial with heat blued hands which looks lovely but the standard pieces are also great.

Love the Railmaster; one of the most under-sung of Omega's lineup, IMO. Ticks every box (I'm sure you can source one from a grey for your budget), and a co-axial chronometer to boot...
