Available for sale is a 1979 Rolex 34mm Stainless Steel Air King Reference 5500. This Air King has a very interesting silver dial which turns to a tobacco shade as you turn it in the light. When you look at the dial perfectly straight the patina is completely even though when you turning it on your wrist it radiates different stars of a light beige tobacco colour. It really is stunning and challenging to capture with photographs. I do assure you, once you own this Air King it will be difficult to look at anything other than your wrist all day! This Air King is a stunning example of an all original Rolex which has been honestly worn with a bonus of a stunning dial. This example has a serial starting with 6.38M dating the watch to 1979. This watch has been recently serviced, keeps good time and is ready to be worn!

Bezel: Original Rolex smooth stainless steel which is showing previous signs of honest wear

Dial/Hands: Original silver dial with which has aged to have a radial tobacco patina, simply stunning in person. This is not your average dial, it is difficult to explain without being seen and the good news is that it should continue to patina over time. Hands are as attractive and original.

Movement: Rolex 1520 automatic movement, serviced and currently running a perfect +/- 0 seconds per day. Very unusual to see a vintage Rolex running so perfectly.
