Icon5 What changes do you guys think the next GMT will bring?!

What’s up guys!

So the new 126710blro and blrn still have the maxi case of the 40mm submariner.

Do you think they will keep the case size/shape on the next iteration of the lineup?

What else do you think they will change? (Hopefully they’ll get the Pepsi colors right eventually)

Do you think they will give an option to wear it on oyster or stick with jubilee?(applies to steel only)

Any other predictions? New bezel colors? New movements? Maybe a 48 click bezel instead of a 24 click? Even the Tudor gmt has a 48 click bezel for half hour time zones.

Cheers!

Same. Fully agree. I got lucky with no purchase history and got a 41 SD and it’s by far my favorite watch. I still have my 40 but I now think it looks funny on my wrist compared to the 41mm.

If they skimmed down the lugs snd widened the bracelet and gave an option for bracelet, that would be incredible. I also want 48 click rotation... not 24

X 3. I think they will go the 41MM size of the current sub, and I HOPE, offer it Oyster with Coke.

Rolex!? Are you listening!?

Considering how new they still are, I don't think there will be any changes for many years.

Coke would also be cool. I’ll bet it will come out in a 41 but I’m wondering... when. Because they JUST released the Pepsi in 2018. May be 5-10
More years but you never know with Rolex.

That’s my fear. I love the jubilee bracelet snd I love the bezels of both stainless models but the case is still a maxi. Does anyone know if it’s the exact same case shape as the maxi case sub? Or are the lugs slightly different?

I agree. They just updated the movement and the lugs are slimmer then the 11 sub si I doubt you’ll see any changes for quite some time

Are they actually slimmer than the maxi case subs? Is that known? In the pics they do look slimmer, I wasn’t sure if it was just my vision playing tricks on me or if they really were slimmer.

There wont be any changes for at least another 5+ years so dont worry and enjoy the current models.

GMT line got 2 refreshes year after year. There is no way Rolex is doing another update on the GMT anytime soon.

I agree with this. Seem like Oysters are going on PM GMTs, and Jubilee on SS. And if a coke comes out it will be a monster hit, so might as well max out it's value on WG for a few years before SS on Jubilee.

The lugs are different. Find the comparisons in YouTube. This was just updated when they went with the jubilee Bracelet. Do no likely changes for a while. The lugs are definitely narrower than the older maxi case. Subtle but noticeable. Less noticeable then new sub though. You almost need a microscope. Here’s video showing the difference

Slimmer lugs, 39mm, oyster would be perfect. A color correct pepsi would be a nice touch as well.

My least favourite iteration.

A root-beer with a sunburst dial would be a big improvement; it’s all kind of wrong with the black dial! Bring the tiger’s eye dial back!

I hope they will give an oyster bracelet option as I personally dont care much for the jubilee.

I also think an all black with red 24hr hand may appear at some stage and of course a coke in pm

I'd love to see a Coke released in WG and on Oysterflex only, just to really keep everyone on their toes.

Go back to the old 5 series style cases keep the modern bracelet/movement etc and have fully interchangeable ceramic bezel inserts that were easy DIY change, and at the old aluminum prices now that would be a good versatile GMT watch.
