Wife’s first Rolex! Happy wife happy life
First post, hope everything works with the pics.
Well, after starting my Rolex journey in 2016 with a new ceramic sub date (bought under MSRP then :)), in 2018 my sneaky wife bought me my grail watch (pre-2013 ceramic bluesy with blue lacquered, non sunburst, dial for my wedding present). I have read the blue lacquer (like in the smirf) is rare and will appreciate nicely. It’s quite unimaginable that I was able to land both without any effort! Anyways flash forward to 2020 and we are having a covid baby! No better present to provide my baby mama then her very own first Rolex! I scoured far and wide and came across the Oyster date 115234 34” with submariner internals. I was not going to go diamonds due to price. Crazy enough, prices for new and used diamond dial options run from 8500-10000 (msrp is 8550$ Ok the Rolex site) on chrono24, chronext even Bobs etc. Well, over thanksgiving I stumbled on the prefect preowned model selling at bobs watches for $7000. It was in mint condition minus a few small scratches on the buckle, hardly noticeable. All papers boxes and tags included, 2016 model. I reserved it and locked in a fantastic deal on a watch you don’t really see anywhere, especially with the white gold flute, Arabic numbers, and diamond white dial. Truly beyond happy to grow our Rolex family and have so many appreciating assets for our kids coming. Call it a push present or an IOU for the bluesy but we’re a happy family. This is my first post and hope for many more to come. Cheers! |
