Here's a BIG FAT NO!

The Daytona is fine as is and I'm wearing it on my wrist now as I'm typing buddy.

Honestly, if Rolex would to stop producing the 116520-4130 and replace it with a new Daytona with date. Wouldn't you guys go all out n grab the 116520-4130??

Rolex can come out with a day-date Daytona but IMHO, 116520-4130 is a keeper no matter what!

There is absolutely no reason to clutter up the dial with a date...

It is just inconceivable to me that so many people can't remember what the date is from one hour to the next......

I guess it's the same reason why people make lists, use post it notes, have alarms set throughout the day, have phone books, alarms in their car if they're going too fast or over a certain service milage - too much going on at once. I don't think it has to do with "not remembering" as much as just sometimes blanking out. I, like you, take a look at the date once (usually once a month) and just keep on going off what yesterday was and adding one to it. However, and perhaps this is just me, but there are times when I am so involved in something (typing, conversation, etc) and need to quickly reference what day it is, and just can't produce it quick enough. It's nice to be able to have that quick reference on your wrist. I don't think it's so much a necessity as a convenience, and lets face it, this day and age, a wrist watch is nothing more then a convenience to people, so why not make it that much more of one.

NO.

The date is unnecessary and there is plenty of choice out there if you personally require the date complication on a watch/chronograph.

Leave is alone

I must admit I find myself looking for the date, however it's a classic, therefore leave it alone.

If they add a date, then it should be in place of one of the sub-dials.

Absolutely not. I think that many TRF members, including myself, want Rolex to maintain many of the traditional features in their watches.

I really don't think Rolex should make big changes in watch style. I think Rolex should only change the function of watches, including the clasp, SEL, movement, etc. Just my opinion.

Although I love and need the date funciton, the Daytona is an all time classic now with one of the World's best Chrono movements.

Why clutter up that dial any further with a date?

No date for me. The day I wear Daytona is the day that I don't care what date is.
