Rolex Sky Dweller WG on strap, anyone?

I think the reference is 326139 and discontinued. Rarely saw them here so any owners could share some pics? I plan to add a PM SkyD this year and curious how the earlier PM on strap version wear different than the current ones on bracelet. I once saw the black dial and it looks stunning. Thank you.

Thank you. Haven't seen the new RG chocolate dial on OF but the old one on strap is gorgeous. Used ones run over 30k I think.

Thank you. Yes they have it for 33k. Look very nice but I kind of like the black dial WG more.

Rolex Sky Dweller WG on strap, anyone?

I’ve seen 3 SkyD on alligator strap in AD cases (including the Houston boutique in Sep) in the last 3.5 months. I have seen two of the SkyD on OF in the last month.

Nice, but I want to try on the all gold before I pick one.

I have the 326139, and have had it on both the leather strap and on rubberb. Same elevator shaft :).

The 326139 is my favorite Rolex in the entire Rolex collection.
I just bought a mint condition one since they are discontinued. All my Rolex end up on straps so why not get a strap specific watch.

Beautiful. One of my favorite Rolex references. Personally I think the SkyD belongs on bracelet or leather. Rubber only cheapens the watch, especially with the fluted bezel.

Agreed. I don’t mind the Rubber B since it is ok for summer days and you can always go back to leather.

Rubber specific with OF would drive crazy.

I have the RG version on strap and previously owned the whitegold one.

The whitegold ones are insane value for money if you check the relative low price and look what you get in the form of a very complicated movement and big chunk of whitegold!

Resson for me selling it was the tint of black on the dial. It’s really matte, would have preferred a subtle sunburst effect.
The Arabic numerals are so cool and really suit the watch. Nowadays all the Sky references come with clean index dials giving the idea of a blown-up datejust.

Without a doubt the old Arabic dials become very sought after the next ten years.
Not many of them around already.

I’ve been dithering about this watch and after seeing all these pictures I’m going to get one next week. Stunning.

Good Move. Best Rolex in the collection. WG is amazing. And yes, regardless of what you paid for it, it is a $40k watch. I rather wear a $40k watch I bought for $25k than a $9k steel watch I bought for $20k.

Great pics. Look like the black WG wears small than the other colours.

I think the leather strap helps in this regard. It pulls the watch differently around your wrist, if that makes sense. It’s still a top-heavy piece no doubt, so you have to enjoy some girth there to appreciate it. The rubberb actually gives it a more defined circular appearance more akin to a bracelet. I like to swap to it for the hotter months. I’ve been daily wearing this for 6 months if that helps, mostly as WFH.
