New Arrival of My First Grand Seiko. Very Pleased!
Wow, what a dynamite watch! Love the size and fit, and of course it's gorgeous to look at. I bought it having never seen or handled a Grand Seiko in person, and I'm very pleased. Thanks for viewing

Beautiful choice... I got the GMT version.
this Grand Seiko is extremely beautiful in person... vintage case design, wonderful coloration and great function/accuracy. |

Friends, thanks for all of your kind replies. I'm enjoying this Grand Seiko a whole lot. The fit and comfort are excellent on my 7" (somewhat flat) wrist. I find that is has the slightly chunky profile I appreciate, but isn't overly heavy or obtrusive.
It runs and operates very nicely, keeping time at ~+3 sec/day so far. Legibility is noticeably better outdoors in the light of day than it is in the not-so-great light in my office, but it's not a problem. I can report that the date display is easier to read than I expected (I'm at that age where the Rolex magnifier is starting to make sense!). The finishing is, of course, impressively perfect! Like many of us here, I have had a number of nice watches over the years, but I find myself gazing at this one quite a bit |

Thanks everyone. Since this thread was bumped up, it's the least I can do to post another photo I snapped in some crisp winter sun today

A beautiful watch
I have always admired the dial on the model GS. Really nice and looks fantastic paired with that brown strap. Looks fantastic on your wrist.
