Chrono 24
How safe is it to buy a watch of a private seller on chrono 24. Looking at some seamasters and about to bit the bullet on one but just concerned about authenticity. Any story's about chrono 24 experiences?

I have purchased 4 or 5
Expensive purchases. Most dealers seems to be based in Europe. Never had any problems. |

I bought a 14060M from a private seller in aug'19. He was a non watch (garmen) guy, a runner who got it as a wedding present and never wore it. He was more cautious to sell then I was to buy as he had a flood of dealers lo balling. Once I convinced him we should talk instead of me just making an offer we both felt better and it was a good deal all around. I think someone put it in his head if he sold to a private buyer they would steal the movement, replace with a quartz and cry foul. That was one of my C/24 stories that stuck in my head but I've made a couple others tat went smooth, no problems there, at least for me. Their escarole policy seems to be a good protection factor for the buyer.
