Photo Request: Sub41 ND next to BB58

Requesting photos of the 124060 No Date Submariner next to the Tudor Black Bay 58 in both black and navy variants. Any chance someone out there has 2 or all 3 of these in their collection? Hoping to get the call from my AD regarding the Submariner but also debating on getting a BB58.

I would love to see a picture of this as well! I love both, I ended up picking up a BB58 because of the value proposition and the gilt accents, which give it a warmth the submariner lacks. That said, I would argue both can coexist in the same collection because I have my BB58 on a NATO as I think it pairs better with the vintage feel. It has been said before but the BB58 is the true 'tool watch' of the two, insofar as most users (including myself) feel less bad about wearing it without much regard for wear. I admire those who can accomplish that with a 124060, but I would be too inclined to keep it pristine.

I politely disagree. The BB58 is no tool watch, rather more a watch to look good. The lack of on the fly adjustment on the standard bracelet and no divers extension kind of removes any 'tool' functionality from what is supposed to be a divers watch. If you feel more inclined to wear it while cutting the grass or painting a wall, that doesn't make it a tool watch!

Saying all of this, I love the BB58 and own the blue variant and it’s a great watch. I wouldn't hesitate in picking one up and completely agree that both can live happily in the same collection.

Fair point! I had not constrained the definition of a tool-watch to its capacity as a diver. I am definitely more inclined to wear mine cutting the grass or painting a wall , so I guess I would just say I have less difficulty considering it a 'daily'?

Very interesting to see these two side by side, very little in it between the BB58 and this lovely Sub.

@fskywalker, have you had the centre links on that sub polished or is this the light playing tricks?

It’s a PCL bracelet from a DJ (with a glidelock style clasp) installed on my Sub. I use that bracelet on my 16622 Yachtmaster, as well as in the 16610 sub

Poor photo by me but I hope this gives OP some idea. Got the BB58 first. It was the first watch I’ve had with no date. Loved having no date so much I ordered the 124060 when it was released.

Here you go. Unfortunately I sold the black dial BB58 a few weeks ago

Thanks for sharing the comparison

It does highlight the difference in size between the 39mm BB58 and the 41mm 124060, especially with the bezel width, lugs and bracelet.
