Anyone use 6/3 links on Oyster?

I know this is largely subjective, but I have all the Rolex clasps on my various watches and recently acquired my first Easylink. Having trouble getting it to fit ‘just right’. All my other watches are set at 5/4 and fit my flat 6.75” wrist perfectly.
Due to the longer blade under the clasp of the Easylink I’ve been working with my AD to dial it in. I’m currently experimenting with 6 links at 12 and 3 at 6. Although it seems to center the blade better it just seems like the outer clasp is too lopsided even though the blade is more or less centered. Not sure if this makes sense, but curious if anyone else has this configuration?
Thanks...

You are obsessed with the aesthetics. The clasp is not supposed to be "centered", not sure why so many folks seem to think this. The blade usually self-centers, so you need to adjust the links and clasp for the most comfortable fit, not how it looks. That almost always means more links on the 12 side.

I’m actually obsessed with the fit and comfort
I’m more focused on the blade under the clasp being centered and since all of my other Rolexes are set at 5/4 was just curious if others with Easylink clasps have found the need to move a link due to the length of the blade..

I had difficulty getting my DJII to feel just right when I first got it. I settled on the 7/3 link configuration. It's not as comfortable as my SubC (4.5/4), but good enough.

Thanks for this! I think that was one of the things I am curious about, that is how much moving the links might make a difference. Curiously my SubC is also more comfortable with the Glidelock and a 5/4 configuration.
Although my AD is 10 minutes away and is happy to continue tweaking, I’d like to get this dialed in so I can go back to wearing some of my other pieces in rotation. At the moment I’m wearing this one exclusively to get a feel for comfort as my wrist expands and contracts...

I've had this exact same issue with my Polar explorer, I was lucky enough to find a half link but even with this, the three clasp settings and the easylink, getting the perfect fit all depends on my wrist and the time of the day. I've learnt to live with it now, sometimes its a little tight but when I open the extension its a little loose, first world problems I know!

Maybe try your half link from your sub if its compatible?

Out of interest, does anyone wear their easylink exclusively in the open position?

This is exactly my situation. Parts of the day it’s slightly tight and when extended it’s looser than I like. I know this will probably change (for the worse) in summer.
As far as wearing open all the time, my AD suggested this as an option, but I don’t really like this option.
I may have to learn to live with it as is as well...

The clasp also have 3 micro adjustment positions with 2mm each, if you have never adjust it, it should be sitting on position 2 when it came out of factory.

So you could try:

1. Attach 12-side links to clasp on position 3 with easylink closed.

2. Attach links to position 1 with easylink extended.

Depends on your wrist (slightly thicker or thinner) while fitting and how you like to wear your watch, slightly tighter or looser.

I always size the bracelet in summer afternoon with easylink opened and links attached to clasp on position 2(feeling very slightly loose), so in winter days or whenever I feel it too loose, I just close the easylink. This setting also keeps me a 2mm looser/tighter option to resize if in some rarely situation.

Thanks. Yes, after the first week of ownership my AD moved to position 3 to see if that would help, but it was too loose, so we went back to position 2 and moved the links to 6/3 which is where it is now.
Can you confirm that the micro adjustment is 2mm? I’ve seen everything from 2 to 3.2mm and can’t find anything in the Rolex manual. Since mine is in position 2 it’s hard to get an accurate measurement with the link in the way...

Sorry, I can only confirm it's 2mm gap on Sub glidelock clasp. Not sure if it's same on PCL clasp.

I just treat it as:
removable link = 1
easylink = 1/2
micro adjustment on clasp = 1/3

You can try many combinations, and you don't find any to fit your wrist comfortablly?

When I first got my Exp II I fiddled with the EasyLink all the time. After about a month it seemed the open position was right about 90% of the time. I have a 7.25" wrist and wear it seven links on the 12 side and four links on the 6 side with the "minor adjustment" in the middle position.

There was a thread awhile back where someone was complaining that their watch always slid to the top of their wrist. I had this problem and the 7/4 combination worked best.

I have 6.75” round-top wrist.

Depend on the oyster bracelets, if it doesn’t have half-link at the clasp, I would have it 5/6 (6 links at 12 o’clock). If it has half link, then 4/6.

Cheers...

I have my YM-II with 6/3 links, perfectly fits my flat wrist.

Usually the inner side of wrist is a bit flatter than outter side, especially people who have flat wrists.

The blade should be nearly parallel to the dial when clasp locked, or, a bit shorter on 6-side when sizing to fit. This way the dial sits centered on wrist. (In my case)

I always size my watches starting at the 6 o’clock side with the clasp blade centered. The 12 o’clock side just works out to however many links are required.
