Loose end link
I posted this in another topic but wanted to make a separate one. I have a 114060 and the one end link is super loose bank and forth to the case. Thought it was a bad spring bar but just got one from Everest and same issue. Thoughts on this? The other end link is tight as can be to the case with no movement as it should be

Update, flipped the bracelet around to make sure it wasn’t the case, it’s the end link. Is that something that can be replaced w/ service? Anyone ever encounter this

You can have end links replaced during a service. I can't remember the cost but it's inexpensive.

That's the first time I hear about end link replacement on 6 digit bracelets. Even just the SEL bracelets as a whole. On HEL, makes sense. It is easy. On SEL, I always assumed they just make you buy a new bracelet. Good to know.

Just checked, I had an end link replaced on a K serial 16710 a few months ago for $108 during a service.

I actually didn’t think that end links could wear out on a 6 digit bracelet until now

Does the loose link seem to have a bigger hole in it? I.e. if you take the same spring bar and put it into the two links is it a close slip fit in the good one and able to wiggle in the loose one? That's the only thing I can imagine explaining what you are describing.

The seller (trusted here) that I got it from is taking care of me and it will be on it's way back to him today to check out and I should have it back by Wed. It's certainly not something you would notice if you were turning and burning watches but as soon as you went to size it you would, I don't blame them at all. steve |

could just be a slight variance in the tolerance for the part, personally I'd ignore it as it is so minor and only noticeable if you look for it.

Try the OEM spring bar first.
You need the 2.0m thick and tip size 1.4 I believe, not sure about that. If one of the sizes is wrong than you have a poor fit and possibly wiggle.

can you see it from the front? like is the whole SEL loose or is it just visible from the back when you stretch it out like in the image?

Larry is correct. The spring bar on the sub is very thick compared to other Rolex. Swing by the AD for the correct ones. $12 or so. The end link is machined from a steel billet. It would have to be missing some serious material to be the issue.

Hope you get it sorted, it would bother me as well.
You might want to take some measurements on the watch and end links to see if there are some inconsistencies. With a cheap caliper that’s easy enough. Otherwise there remains only one route and that’s the RSC . Good luck

Good to hear, amazing really that a miniscule difference in a springbar can cause a wiggling end link.
