Well, a jeweler isn't required to have an independent appraiser, they can do it themselves. It looks to me like a sub-business providing appraisals to the public. It doesn't seem to fishy to me - Melrose is an established company.

They do a lot of things to "toot their own horn" this is just another example of it. They also wrote an article of how a GMT saved Owen Wilson's life, there were more plugs for Melrose Jewelers than info about the actor! I would never buy a watch from these guys, their are so many better options IMO.

Melrose does not exists at the address they have given for their store in Sydney. Check their Ebay rating carefully and see how many of the 1000's they have are for small bits & bobs that are worth pennies.

There is no sub-business. AIGL was created by MelroseJewelers and MelroseDiamonds.
They just using AIGL name to provide "Independent” appraisals.
Look at the samples of the appraisals: It does not say Independent Melrose Diamonds Appraisal. It does say AIGL.
Here is the perfect example (was taking form their website):

"each watch we ship comes with a full, independent appraisal from the Associated International Gemological Laboratory, verifying its authenticity and retail replacement value."
This is just unbelievable!!!

Melrose Jewlers?

They're been discussed here in the past. Nothing positive.

So you guys suggest that MJ is not the best place to order Rolex watches at? Their website looks professional and trustworthy, though.

Do you maybe know any other regular online store where one can choose from so many different kinds of Rolex watches?

Thanks,

Paul.
