Which Rolex model is the hardest to get?
Hello everybody! I am just curious: which Rolex model is the hardest to get? Maybe the panda or green dial daytona? Or the meteorite gmt?
I would love to hear your opinions. |

Nothing wrong with this question and if someone doesn't appreciate a bit of redundancy I'm not sure what the hell they are doing here because we see the same basic posts about the same small group of watches over and over and over again. I would say that right now the Blue Sky dweller or the white Daytona would be the hardest pieces to get....in that order. Rainbow Daytona I can't comment on but I imagine that the market for that piece is small and very exclusive so if you really want one and can afford it you'll probably find a way to get one.

GMT meteorite or the YG Daytona w/ dial are the two most difficult.
Anything from the off-catalog (rainbow Daytona, etc) is hard to get due to the prerequisites. |

Presumably the question is "which Rolex model is hardest to get at retail?"
The SS white Daytona, for example, is hard to get at retail. But if you have $30,000 burning a hole in your pocket, it isn't hard to get at all. In fact, you could have it this weekend. |

Just a little support for the OP question. The links provided are a year old or two years old. Rolex availability, wait times and general knowledge can and have changed quite quickly month to month. Being new myself I understand OP excitement to get on the forum and ask some very basic questions which can be redundant to some.

Which Rolex model is the hardest to get?
With the right amount of money, there aren’t really any “hard to get” Rolex models.
A vintage Mil Sub is hard to get. A rainbow Daytona might be hard to get. Apart from that, go to any grey dealer and you can get whatever you want within a few days at most. The only hard to get part with a Rolex might be the amount of money you need. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Nothing wrong with this question and I hate the “have you used the search feature” response. This isn’t google or anything resembling encyclopedic reference. It’s watch forum, and We all get on here and talk about the same handful of topics and handful of watches. Redundant material is literally what keeps this forum going.
At any rate, any off catalogue references will be the hardest to procure. And on top of that Some off catalogue only exist in certain markets, the Middle Eastern market gets quite a few. Google “off catalogue Rolex” and you’ll be amazed.

Hardest to get even if you spend a lot of money at the Rolex AD: Rainbow Daytona.
All of the other models like the SS Daytona, etc. are fairly easy to get if you spend enough at your AD. The Rainbow Daytona has an extremely limited allocation which even a lot of ADs won't get a shot at themselves. |

Well based upon all the previous answers you have got you are not gonna like this one either but I will give it a try.
The hardest model to get period? There are to many variables to be able to answer that question. For some here on TRF that have long relationships and huge spending amounts anything is attainable. For most of us everything is tough. But overall I would say Rainbow Daytona

From the regular model base ie excluding the likes of the Rainbow models, I would say the steel Skydweller with the blue dial is the hardest to get. I think, on average, it's harder than a steel white Daytona.

The Rolex GMT-Master II “Pepsi” made its official debut at this Baselworld 2018! The reception to this watch was hot from the moment it surfaced. I don’t think anyone anticipated just how crazy in demand it would be.
