lockingclasp
hello;
have submariner, stainless steel, 15 years old. the locking clasp got ripped off the band. local dealer does not have any repalcement. will sell a new band for $1k+. where can i find a replacement locking clasp. saw some on e-bay but are they any good?!? aftermarket locking clasp is o.k. by me. wife purchased the watch, she is the one into status symbols. makes me no difference, the watch is only another tool that happens to tell time. thanks for any input. rp |

I think that you need to go to another Dealer...
But let me add.... If your watch is 15 years old, it needs to be cleaned and oiled... a ~500 dollar service at any Rolex Service Center.. They will replace the clasp for you for the cost of the clasp, a lot less than the 1 grand your Dealer is asking for. So, I think that for far less than the 1 thousand dollar quote, you could get your watch into "like new" condition at the Service center, and still have change in your pocket..... Give them a call..........

Send it to a Rolex Service Center and have it fixed up.
