Inherited Some Rolexes
Hi there,
My father passed away over 2 months ago and I have inherited some Rolex watches. I am not sure that any of the watches are real. Is there somewhere in London that I can get the watches checked out. Is there anything I can do, to check out the watches myself? I also hear that you can take the bracelet off (the 6 end) to check for the serial. thanks. |

Welcome to the Forum!
I am sure some folks, local to your area, should be able to provide some direction for you. |

If your able to, post up some pictures and include any boxes or papers you have. The experts here will certainly chime in.
And yes, the serial number should be stamped on the case. That will also help you date the watch. |

I am sorry to hear about your father.
Two Day Dates and it looks like at least one Datejust maybe two, cannot quite make out the last one. From the photo's they look real enough, at least to my sad eyes! If you or a local watchmaker can take off the bands you can read the model number and serial number between the lugs at the 12 and 6 o clock positions. That will give an indication of what age they are. Nice inheritance. BTW welcome to TRF |

They all appear fake.
Can you take better pictures of each individually? |

Well unless the first watch is a Tridor, to my knowledge Rolex never made a tu-tone DayDate....with that in mind the first is absolutely fake...now if it is a Tridor, I could probably rangle up a few dollars...like maybe five if my oil check comes this week.

Yup, genuine Fauxlexes. Sorry to hear of your father's passing, though.

thanks for the feedback people.
Iam going to take them to a wtach shop to take off the bracelet at the "6" end to see whether there are any serial numbers. But I suspected none one them were real. Dont know anything about watches. I have another picture which is a little bit better but not perfect. |

Sorry to say, but I agree with those who stated that they are all fakes.
For various reasons each of the watches fail to conform to the generally recognised characteristics of an authentic Rolex.
