Aftermarket diamonds on Rolex

Thoughts? has anyone done it or have an appeal for them?

I don't think it's good idea to have after market diamonds on dial or bezel.

If you have to send in for service at RSC, they will change everything that is not belong to original Rolex.

I fitted a rainbow sapphire bezel on my Daytona 116523 as I thought it was a good idea, looked so tasteless and cheap that I put the original gold back on a week later!

Aftermarket diamond dials and bezels are common.

If you like it, do it. There are no laws against customizing your watch.

Was thinking the same thing I saw 5/6 threads ha.

Aftermarket stuff was really really popular on the 36 day dates and 36 datejusts years ago. If you went to a pre owned shop / secondary seller everything was modified heavily it was really popular. Most even had loads of dials/straps etc in the shops. Doesnt seem to be as popular anymore. I had a heavily modified day date covered in diamonds years ago.

Hugely popular in the late 80's and early 90's. A stock Rolex wasn't unique or desirable when sporting a Rolex then. Since then and Rolex becoming way to controlling of their parts and modification post sales, the new Rolex Laws has owners too scared to do anything to their watch.

Bought a DJ from an AD once had them install a aftermarket diamond bezel, I knew they
sent the watch off to another jeweler to have this done.

Personally, I'm not much into them, but I've seen some that are well done, only on datejusts or day-dates would I ever consider having diamonds.
