One model collection
Hypothetical challenge:
if you had to choose one model, only one (like Daytona, Sub, Explorer, Sea-Dweller, Speedmaster, etc...) and you could only buy and collect that model in all its references, colors and variations, which one would it be? It’s unrealistic but i think it’s a challenge that forces you to think really deep about what you like from a collectability, type and complication point of view! Give it your best shot! Sea Dweller
So many unique references and great history. Everything from COMEX to DSSD

GMT all the way. I travel a lot, and work for an international company, so the complication is useful. I also know that the water resistance is perfect for my purposes (my BLNR has been snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef and my CHNR is often on after dinner dishes duty). Not a difficult decision at all.

Daytona for me. Huge variety in case material, dial colors, and bands/bracelets.

Daytona would be my choice. Love the different dial options, oysterflex, and SS to platinum.

Not really that weird of a question for this site. Many here basically have all variations of the same watch already..
I am pretty simple. I would have an Explorer 1 and Explorer 2. All bases covered. |

This. If it were not the SD it would be the Explorer I and Explorer II. As you said you can wow in a suit, travel and even go snorkeling (gently maybe diving) with the more recent one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Tough.
Love that the DJ has multiple sizes, dials, bracelets, etc. sub is a great option as well with colored bezels and vintage to modern, it be fun to flip through or collect all variants. Daytona would be my winner though with endless combos through the years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Agreed, I don't think there's any model in the Rolex lineup with more variety
The vast majority of responses here are symptomatic of the overall sports watch frenzy.
