April Fools Day watch???

Picked up my brand new Sea Dweller from an AD on April 1st. Not my first Rolex purchase, but the first one for myself. I notified a local Rolex AD of my interest in a SD43, thinking I'd have one in a few months. He called me <24 hours later and had one for me!

I think it's real...

Wore a GS GMT to the AD to pick up my new SD. AD thought it was a Rolex at a glance. When I took it off to try on the SD, he looked closer and said, "That's a beautiful watch." I take that compliment with a grain of salt, even though I love my GS. I know a bit about salesmanship...

It IS a beautiful Grand Seiko, however!

Congratulations on the SD43.

Congratulations , man I love my SD43 . Hope you enjoy your SD43 as much as I enjoy mine . So many people post incomings of this watch and weeks later post how much they hate it for being a torture device.

When this happens they must surely have it in stock already but have to ask the manager if it's ok to sell it to somebody.

Thanks! Not sure what Rollie he thought it was - maybe a blusie TT? It's clearly a different animal.

Thanks! I'm very accustomed to large watches. I have no doubt it'll be a wonderful love affair! Also, I have a few watches so none get too much wear at a time.

No doubt you are correct. They certainly pick & choose who to sell to. I'll try my luck again this summer on a DSSD JC.

She really liked my sunglasses when I bought my sub. Salesmanship at its best...

And to make sure no other "VIP" customers wanted one first.
