What’s wrong with the two tone Explorer? Looks good!

I like it - adds some elegance to the watch. Would have preferred in 39mm, but whatever. Hopefully demand is low so I can at least examine one at my AD

Does look good... wish it was bigger for me. 36 is too small for a 7.5 wrist.

The Explorer has been bling-free, SS-only since it came out in the 1950s. Now it's succumbed. Will be an unpopular move, but the SS return to 36mm makes up for it.

I think it will look very nice in person.

The 36mm is a great addition - I will likely pick one up for my wife lol. Joking aside, I love a 36mm explorer but Rolex is moving away from the 39-40mm sweet spot, which sucks. I am hoping a 40-41 comes back next year but for now I am VERY happy I got my 39mm mk2 this past year.

I don't like a TT Explorer. That's just me though.

It was a bit jarring at first....but I'll reserve judgement on both the two tone and the size until I see them in person.

It's certainly one of the more affordable TT models.

Wrong?!

It is wrong that is called Explorer. Should have been a 2 tone 36mm OP and keep the Explorer in ss....

Considering the demographics of the Explorer 36mm fans and their constant whining about those giant 40mm watches worn by young “whippersnappers”, the size and two-tone is not surprising.

Nothing wrong with it, other than it's an Explorer and about the last watch in the range that I thought would go to TT.
In fact I bet the bookies would have given very favourable odds if you'd placed a bet on it a year ago.

I think it's Rolex's way of saying the days of SS is coming to a close. If they'll put gold on an Exp1 then it's a pretty big statement.

The Explorer was the last true Rolex tool watch. If you want flash and bling at 36mm just buy a DateJust. I am not sure who will buy this thing.

They should've went full PM first before doing a TT.

A full WG or Platinum would've been the best approach. Yikes on the TT especially on the 36mm size.

Theoretically, isn't two tone more "durable" on a tool watch than all PM as you get the benefit of the stainless steel case and exterior on the bracelet?

It do happen to like it, especially the dial. But at the end of the day, it is a 116203 DateJust (minus date) part-bin put together. That's what's upsetting.
A better move would have been to make this reference in 39mm.

Not my cup of tea but i don’t see anything wrong with it. IIRC there was uproar when SeaDweller when TT and folks said “this is a pure tool watch, it can’t have TT.” But as soon as incomings here, the same people would say “beautiful, looks awesome etc”

Nice watch and whoever buys it I hope they enjoy.

36mm OP in TT with a white 369 dial? Might have been interesting.

Calling this abomination an Explorer?

I would be up for a full YG version!
