Totally onboarded with Fed's opinions on Rolex releases!!
Laziest Rolex release in years!
Only good part is Rolex 36mm but did the travesty with 2-tone. Explorer 2 is same and lost good opportunity to upgrade it. It's already decade old watch. Adding meteorite dials to Daytona is nothing and neither adding both options to GMT SS or SkyDweller. So, what was the release for? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVfdg7sp-Vk |

Yes, I have to be honest compared to the announcement last September with the updated Subs and very vibrant OP range this 2021 update is decidedly lacking.

My God, nothing is ever good enough for you people... Two sets of releases within a seven-month period. Have a bit of perspective.

Cringeworthy. They should not have made that teaser and then simply introduced a movement update. That was too much.

The Explorer II hit me a little flat. Though I’m glad they didn’t ruin it.
Bring the Explorer down to 36mm was nice. Now the two tone, we’ll see how it sells. Generally, TT doesn’t do well. The other models, I have no opinion, as I’m indifferent. Overall, not a bad release. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I think the TT Explorer looks pretty sharp, as far as TT goes.

Agreed. Normally I’d be stoked about the bracelet options for the GMTs, but I can’t get one anyways so I don’t even care. I’m more excited for new models from other brands nowadays, as they aren’t entirely impossible to get. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Concur. The teaser should have been for the Explorer. I was staring at the Explorer II trying to see the difference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I’m happy with the releases. However, I would have liked to see a few of my pieces discontinued. Maybe next year...

Release was good enough. Everyone disappointed or po'd at Rolex for this release may need to do two things:
1) Find a new watch brand 2) Get a new hobby Sorry if that's brash or rude but everyone that's making sour grapes over this release needs to calm down a little. We just got a nice drop from them a few months ago. I would venture out to guess next year will be a bit better than this year. |

If it ain't broke... Maybe Rolex should do new releases every three years? This way you get 'more'.

In Rolex' defense, 2020 was not the easiest year to prepare for the 2021 new releases. Although new models take years to develop and implement, the final touches in 2020 had to be made in adverse conditions. This could explain the relatively low number of releases this year. Personally, I think we should cut them some slack.

Everyone and their mother loves Rolex for being so conservative...and when they release something conservative it’s bad? Lmao

I agree with Fed.
So boring, zero innovation and just pure laziness. Rolex better step up their game next year with some proper exciting releases rather than most of the rubbish that was released yesterday. |

But this year it's worse. Rolex posted an Explorer teaser which was impossible to decipher - unforgivable! And Tudor (Rolex), sat on their hands and did nothing. Nothing to see there either. Right? |

Exactly. Many wrong expectations were created on the internet within uncountable and wild speculations, which is also not the fault of Rolex SA. But, don’t forget they listen, read, and post everywhere, but you don't see them. |

Maybe the teasing RL made on different social media is aiming for the new TT EX I... still it's really boring release for EX II, people had really high expection on green elements and even cerachrome bazel.
For me Jubilee on SkyD is a great update, and i might aim to get one if possible. |
