Tudor Chrono Early Incoming

Got a chance to preview the new Tudor releases at my AD this afternoon.

We are still locked down here in the UK so it was a private appointment where I got to check out the Chrono's and the Silver cased BB 58.

My guy there said, "Pete, I know you will buy the black dial Chrono"....he was wrong, I did admire it but I loved the white dial a little more so the card had to come out and the deal was done.

The 925 Silver 58 was sweet as well, this model was on the Taupe Nato, I nearly double headed but remembered I was meeting my wife later, might sneak back for the 925 next week, it's a beauty for sure and the heavy, fully brushed case is beautifully executed.

A few wrist snaps for those considering this piece.

Truth be told, I wasn't overly excited entering the AD but these Chrono's, in the flesh, are mighty impressive.

This will be a great switch out for when I am not wanting to wear my 116520 white.

I don’t like Chrono but the ones Tudor just introduced made me change my mind, now, all of a sudden it works to my eyes. The one you picked is a stunner, so reminiscent to Paul Newman’s. Congrats.

Looks great in the flesh. I'm so jealous you got yours so quickly. I knew the Far East have has stocks but not in the UK.

I'm like you and have ordered the white chrono and the 925 on leather. Great Tastes!

Hopefully won't be long for me to get mine.

Enjoy!

very cool! Does the dial look white in person? Looks like it has a silver/off-white sheen to it.

Ugh I thought I wanted the black dial, but your pics are changing my mind. Dial is easier to read in your pics than the pics on the Tudor site. Enjoy.

You could describe the dial as Opaline.

Off white and it changes with the ambient lighting from silver to cream.
There is some surface texture as well.

Obvious vintage vibe on this one with the flat matt bezel insert.

I went from ambivalent to wtf within moments of seeing it in the flesh.

Thank for the feedback guys, love this forum, so positive!

On the legibility, the hands have a highly polished outline which really catches the light and means they pop out against the dial in most lighting conditions.

Having owned the Zenith for a few days (Black Dial) and now this my initial thoughts are;

Similar wearability, dimensions feel identical.

Build quality very close, possibly Zenith on the case but the Tudor bracelet and SEL to case fit is better. Neither offer easy link.

Zenith a little slimmer.

Prefer the aluminium bezel on the Tudor, more restrained and toolish.

Zenith has the more complex movement with the 1/10th function. Tudor movement well established, reliable with 70hr reserve. Weekend Proof! - sorry

UK RRP £8,300 v £3,900 !!!!

I actually believe this looks better than the current Daytonas. Funny how that works.

Hi, it is slightly off white, sort of soft and a bit vintage with a slight texture.

So in sunlight it is creamy and under fluorescents it is a silver white which makes the sub dials really pop!
