Went in this afternoon and all the Rolex signs and displays are gone.

I'm curious if that will also happen to their other store in DE.

I would imagine so, because the original owner of Sidney Thomas has sold the business, and Rolex AD statuses are not transferable to a new owner. Hence why the Short Hills Mall is no longer an AD.

I was wondering this too. Fortunately they have other brands and no other real competition in the Christiana Mall. The Rolex counter has been empty for awhile now though.

To be honest the Rolex “store” at Sydney Thomas in the Short Hills mall was pretty bad. I would have pulled the plug on them as well if it were up to me...

Let’s hope that London Jewelers will be a nicer store.

London already has presence in that mall. They own the VCA boutique, which is a cash printing machine.

Last time I stepped foot inside, I took maybe five steps before turning around and walking out... It just felt like a miserable place.

Heard they’re closing, I’ve been there several times but never expected much from them. Service was ok, I tried on a few pieces but I stick to my regular guy for Rolex’s. Hope the new boutique is well, stocked, wonder how they will prioritize sales.

The one that claims to want to “start a relationship,” but only mentions jewelry, and never proactively reaches out me.

Hmmm... Sounds like most ADs. Ha!

Similar to what Lee Perla did in Bergen.

The staff at ST were corny......they thought they knew so much but really didn't. I especially was not impressed with Stephanie - terrible follow-up/communication skills.

ST in short hills never has any decent Rolex stock anyway so no loss to be honest.

They were nice to me. Felt bad I never bought anything, but they never hinted they could discount, even on non-Rolex.

Their Rolex cases probably look the same before and after—empty!

I had nothing but super nice and warm conversations at Sidney Thomas. I had not bought a Rolex from them and I was treated really well.

I had heard rumors of this and am not surprised but it is sad all the same.
