For sale is an excellent condition pre-owned stainless steel 44mm Pride of Detroit Aviator. The Aviator is sold as watch only, no box or papers are included. The watch features a black nonluminous dial with printed white Arabic numerals, date aperture at 3 o’clock and luminous hands. The high polish art deco-style case shows very light surface scratching but overall borderlines excellent to near-mint. The case back is engraved with an airplane motif depicting “The Pride of Detroit” an homage to the Stinson-Detroiter Edward Schlee and Billy Brock flew while attempting to circle the globe within 15 days. The Aviator is mounted on a brown leather strap with deployment buckle and is powered by a Miyota 821A automatic movement.
