New to Panerai (PAM 311)!
Thanks to your input, I’ve joined the family!
Loving the 311! I’m mostly past my ‘big watch’ concerns! :) Questions: 1) would it be sacrilegious to brush the polished bezel (not a fan of shiny metal)? Has anyone here done it? 2) is there a site where I can lookup the serial number to know the production date? 3) any favorite strap sites (besides the super long list here)? I’d love to find a nice soft dark brown leather strap, with a vintage look. Thanks! |

1. Opinions vary - although keeping the watch as original as possible is usually preferred.
2. You can register the watch on the Panerai website, under the PAM Guard section, and this will give you manufacture, if not original sale, date. https://www.panerai.com/us/en/servic...pam-guard.html 3. Nope. Not going down that rabbit hole. Suffice to say that you’re spoiled for choice. |

Congratulations on your Panerai As far as straps go, I like Corrigia and Kostas straps. Kostas doesn't have a website, only FB and IG. I'm waiting on one from each of them now

Congrats on the 311!
Regarding brushing the bezel, I personally like the contrast of the polished bezel against the brushed case, and find that PAMs look better once having a few marks. Regarding non-OEM strap makers, besides those listed, also check out Micah (vintager straps), Greg Stevens Designs and Dangerous 9. Good luck with the hunt! |
