Couldn't be happier...
Well,
Took the leap and bought a 1 yr. old Explorer. I've only seen them in my AD case (about three years ago) and didn't have an interest then. Very surprised at the size. Let me explain; 39mm is deceiving for this watch to my eye. I have 40's and others including a Milgauss GV which I thought the Explorer would have nearly identical dimensions (except for thickness). It looks so much larger than this Explorer. I'm so happy I took the leap and bought this model. For me, it seems like a perfect keeper as it just has most everything I want for the long-term. No trendiness here, just history and understated looks. Certainly I'd never accuse Rolex of a mistake by going back to 36mm and I know they'll sell every one they manufacture but...at 7.5" wrist size, I feel the 39mm is perfect and 36mm would be too small for me. Anyway, that's my story and I'm extremely happy I chose this model for my current purchase. Thanks for reading. |

Yes, I think it will go up in value...duh. lol.
I also feel good that it was only $500 more than I would've paid Retail 3 years ago at my AD. So, no buyer's remorse at the price-point either. |

Great pick up. I think this model is the next 1655. Rolex may go bigger in a few years perhaps to 41 but they will not return to 39. That’s my guess anyway. Get that at your AD?
