Once in a lifetime occasion

Been out the past week looking for jewellery for other half and just so happens the stores happen to be AD's.

Having had a unsavoury experience with my previous AD, (at least they did hint that a significant purchase history would be needed to be even considered to be added to the expressed interest list)

So went looking around locally and found an AD that allowed me to try on a root beer! Didn't take pictures cos if the missus checks my phone, I'd be couch surfing.

Main goal is some nice jewellery for her and if there is a chance to get on a list at the same AD, bonus.

Asked to try it on as I have fairly slim wrists at 7 inches and I didn't want to have a watch on my list that I want and chase for months/ years/ decades and then when I get the call, I find out I don't like the fit.

It fitted perfectly dimension wise.

Probably the only time I'll ever get to see and try on a root beer.

If you have the mans and it won't put you in debt, treat yourself! Root Beers are fairly easy to come by.

It will be with that attitude. Lol.

Go to a gray dealer store and try on all the watches of your dreams. That problem solved.

Your Mrs would make you sleep on the sofa for taking a picture of a watch?

Well, we know who wears the pants for sure. Check his phone? Must not be much trust or you got yourself a control freak. Glad I've been divorced for 20 years and to be honest the happies years of my life.. Good luck in the future bud..

In all seriousness, I'm inferring from your posts that a substantial purchase is not exactly in the cards right now. That's cool, no judgement here, nor would I dream of piling on about who wears the pants, etc. If that's the case, however, you might want to rethink trying on expensive watches...or hanging around here, for that matter.
once in a lifetime as in rarity of it coming by at ad and to be able to try on. tis all fun for me...just window shopping. as long as i haven't bought it, i'm safe. regards to this forum, doubt my wife gives a crap. i just joke about it with her, but still know my boundaries!

a new watch is on my radar, just doing the research and trying on now so when that chance is available to get it, i'm all ready.

With your 7" wrist, it should be able to fit most of Rolex easily.

I was just thinking this, 7" is like the Rolex sweet spot, I'm the one who's struggling here at 6.5". The things I'd do for an extra .5"...

Why on earth are you saying that? Seriously. Losing your eyesight rapidly or something? Like, man up! (No offense of course.)

Glad you had a try on- I’m sure you won’t be couch surfing if you trade off with some nice jewellery!! Which ADs did you find useful- were they chain ad’s or smaller places?

found a place that was a small family run place and another ad that was a small chain. they have 3 stores in the whole country. but located in footballers town so guessing they may get better allocation.
