My first AD experience
My fiancé stopped in by herself about a month ago to introduce herself, and tell the SA that I wanted to buy myself a DateJust for my wedding present to myself. I have never bought anything from this store. He said it would be best if I made an appointment to come meet him.
Today I visited with him. I'm guessing he realized I wasn't a flipper, which I think my fiancé helped with, because he can tell it's actually a sentimental gift for myself. The shelves were completely empty minus a few ladies watches. We talked about the wedding and eventually got around to discussing the watch I wanted. We decided on DateJust 36. 126234. Jubilee. Fluted. Blue. Sticks. He checked the other orders to see when the last model exactly like that was ordered. He showed me the sales ticket for the same watch ordered in December, and it has not arrived yet, just to give me proper timing expectations. He took a deposit of half retail ($4,275), and my special order ticket has a ready date stated as 8/25/2021. He said it may creep in to September but shouldn't be much longer than that. Once this DJ is here, I'm going to strategize with him about getting a Sub. He mentioned I most likely wouldn't need to wait terribly long for that either, once we decide to go down that path. I'm over the moon excited about getting this first Rolex in time for my wedding. |
