Santos Grey Dial - WSSA0037

I missed seeing this watch released and was wondering if anyone has handled one in person or have any thoughts on it?

When the black dial and full DLC case/bezel version was released, I thought it was super cool, except Cartier didn't offer a DLC bracelet and I thought the stainless one would look odd on it.

They went out and released a very dark grey dial with SS case, but then put a DLC bezel on it and it comes with the full SS bracelet. I am wondering if this will look dated quickly, or if the bezel will get beat up pretty easily. Could you source a SS bezel for it down the road?

I do not have the chance to look at it in person and am between this one and the blue dial. I feel blue is getting played out and would rather have the grey dial, but I am not so sure about this DLC bezel. I don't have experience with this coating.

Does the watch look mismatched in person on the SS bracelet? Thanks for everyones thoughts!

I just saw the same watch at my AD. I thought it looked amazing. I thought that extra character of the dark bezel made it look special.Waiting to see the blue to compare, they are going to call me when it comes in. What does DLC stand for? thanks

Diamond Like Carbon Coating. I am not 100% sure how they do it, bit it is a form of carbon I believe.

Thank you for the feedback. I was thinking the shiny bezel on the blue with the silvered numerals would be a bit too much for my purpose, which is much more casual.

Anyone see or have a lume picture of this watch? Is it the same as the all black version where the numerals, minute track and hands are lumed?

I've handled all three versions of the watch. I have the blue, and I still like it the most. The ADLC and steel would be my second choice. It looks cool, but I think the ADLC limits its versatility making it really sporty. The blue dial or white are more versatile and I think look better if you ever want to wear it to a nice event or with something dressy.

The steel bracelet looks good on the the watch you asked about with the ADLC bezel and gray dial, because its case is in all stainless steel. I like this and the blue dial version more than the all ADLC cased model, because there is no bracelet for the all ADLC model, and I love the bracelet for the Santos.

I debated between this and the white large and medium Santos and ultimately picked up the 37. The bezel is supposed to be much more scratch resistant than the normal stainless steel one. I’ve only had it for a couple of months but I’m really enjoying it. My only complaint on the bracelet is there isn’t any micro adjustments but it’s not that bad. I haven’t tried the watch with the rubber strap yet.

You should definitely try it on the rubber strap too. Its really comfortable and looks great. I actually think the watch looks/wears a bit smaller on the rubber strap. Congrats and enjoy your Santos.
