Can I set the time clockwise or counterclockwise on a 16600 3135 movement?

16660 doesn't have 3135 movement
3135 starts with 16600

from Mondani book

No problem with any modern day Rolex movement since 1988 on.

You can set the time on almost any Rolex that you can get your hands on, in any direction you want. You can even set the date backwards by turning the hands backwards, if all of the inner workings are in shape.

The question is generally "what direction do the hands turn with the crown", and in pre-'88 models it was usually opposite the post '88 movements (30xx movements vs 31xx). Rolex has recently changed that, and the 32xx movements, once again, turn the hands opposite the crown direction.

The 16660 had the cal 3035 and setting the hands on this one you turn the crown the opposite way to the cal 3135,but again not not a problem setting back or forward.

Time is set on the 16600 Sea Dweller (3135) with the crown pulled all the way out to position 3 in either direction.

Either way as long as you walk in a circle while setting the time.

I prefer moving hands clockwise and always gently. Anticlockwise goes against my nature.
