12 months, 1 AD....it’s all possible!

I got the call today for the BLRO which took the longest to receive. My AD has been an absolutely pleasure to work with. The 116508 took 90 days once the order was placed, yes order placed. It’s all about how they work with you.
Everything pictured took 12 months to assemble.

Nice! So it's all fairly simple, so long as you are prepared to spend 200k?

I struggle with this type of collecting, 9 current models in 12 months? This has very little to do with the love of watches.

Sure Sure

What else did you buy from him, no way an ad is giving all that away .

(Blinks) I’m fairly sure they sell them at a substantial profit

Who cares what his motivation was or if he collected it in one day or 5 years. He wanted the pieces quickly and he bought them. Good for him.

So does that mean if he spaced his purchases out over 12 years instead of 12 months he'd have more love of watches?

The speed of purchase in my opinion does not equate to your level of love of watches. Different collecting style, yes.

Yes, I think it does. It’s just my opinion and I don’t mean any offense by it, it’s just not for me. Buying a collection doesn’t make you a collector and I know the OP didn’t claim to be a collector. Everyone’s posting saying congratulations & well done but if you have enough money you can buy anything. Anything. I can see I’m in the minority so I’ll leave it at that.

Nice. So I guess you bought pre-owned watches from them too based on those discontinued models? Which models did you actually buy at msrp?

This is true. There were limited number sent to ADs before the Corona lock downs began. Only VIPs got access to them.

Great collection. Do you have any other purchase history with this AD besides watches?

Rolex released some last year with updated warranty cards. It’s a fact.

Yes I’m aware and not disputing that, but it doesn’t mean they added it back to the catalog.

Lots of hate/butthurt/misinformed fanboys on here today. I read a lot of bitching and complaining about ADs and Rolex. I’m simply saying it’s possible to build a very nice collection if you can.

ignore the haters

if you have the means and the AD behind you to get watches then all the more power to you.

That said, i was not aware Rolex re-released the GMT LN. Wasn't that model discontinued back in 2018? Are you sure its not just BNIB?
