Isn’t that a simple answer of nothing special on this model. Basically, two line vs four line dial text. Tritium vs luminova and drilled vs solid lugs. Each variant has there own fans. For me, the older version - two line with drilled lugs (I’m less fussed tritium vs luminova)

2 line, holes case, hollow end links, tritium is the most desired 14060. Don't get the M, it's not in that class.

If you want the M, then get the newest one in the best condition you can afford, it's not collectible

Explain to me why the M is ‘not in the class’ of the 14060. They are identical aside from movement upgrade to the M? You can get an M with drilled lugs, tritium and two line. Same as the 14060 I believe.

All 14060 and 14060M had non lug holes cases and hollow end links the 14060M was introduced around 2000.All the M stands for is modified movement the change from the cal 3000 to the Cal 3130.Later 14060M models were certified chronometer by the Swiss COSC on dial. But exactly the same as the movements that were not tested at COSC perhaps the early Tritium lume models might get a slight premium over the later Luminover lume models. My choice would be any of the 14060M depending if you want the two line, or the four line fonts on dial the only difference certified chronometer on dial.

The ones in best condition. I would say a creamy unpolished tritium dial followed by the very last iteration with engraved rehaut in terms of value.

Yes, explain. It's all about personal preference. I bought a M series - 4 liner. Latest movement, superluminova. I like the look and it'll look the same many years from now. Also like the late model 2-liners. All 14060M's have lug holes.

Desirability is... Whatever you desire.

Price wise the last models seem to go for a premium. Part of that is they are the most likely to be in the best condition. The final year was with random serial numbers and that is interesting to some. The year before that were V serials, so the last of the somewhat sequential serials and that is interesting to some.

I do not know because I wear my watches and am not an investor so my answer would be whatever one you like.
