Yes, it's Ultra Jewels. They are a large Rolex AD in Mexico...multiple store locations.

Was just there last month for my honeymoon. Pretty bare. Went twice as we were there for over a week.

However you might get lucky

I wonder how these 'vacation' AD's work. I'm guessing they still have a loyal and local customer base for the hot models, and then they sell the tourists the other jewelry or other brands of watches.

If I remember correct it is not in the mall, but down the street.

I went to that AD in 2018, its by the marina and has a guard outside with a rifle. As for selection they had a few ss sports models exp ii and black gmt, not alot else. Since things have changed alot since then I wouldn't expect much now. Still a fun diversion on a vacation.

Went there last year and had a somewhat odd experience. Walked in and chatted with the SA for a bit and mentioned I was looking for “a GMT,” but didn’t specify which. I had no purchase history and accordingly had no expectations of success. As expected, he told me they didn’t have any, so we chatted for a bit, I looked at some other watches, and then left my number with the SA “just in case.”

Next day he messages me and tells me he “may have a BLNR.” After some back and forth messaging, he tells me they’re expecting a shipment with a BLNR and the implication was that if I purchased another of the watches I was looking at (which was an Omega FOIS), I could have the BLNR. I told him I would do that, and he told me he would let me know when it arrived. He then went silent, and a couple days later I checked in, and he told me he “wasn’t sure if it would arrive before I left town.” I followed up next day, same message. The following day I had to leave, so I swung by the store and he said it “hadn’t arrived.”

In hindsight, I fully expect that he had the BLNR all along but changed his mind on selling it to me, which is fine. Just wish he hadn’t led me on. That said, everyone in the store was perfectly nice.

Moral of the story:
-It never hurts to ask
-Don’t assume you’ll get the watch until it’s in your possession
-Don’t go too far out of your way to visit ADs while on vacation. We all love watches, so no harm in popping in. But don’t make extended detours in the hopes of hitting the jackpot. The vacation time is too valuable.

Yes its called Ultra Jewels in the Marina. Carries several other brands. Don't expect to pick up any SS sports models without either a history or bundling with other brands. Was there twice this year and maybe because of decreased tourists in Cabo during peak COVID, the actual selection in the cases was decent. They definitely have more inventory in the safe so don't be afraid to ask...I was able to score 3 great watches.

As a word of advice, if you do purchase a watch there you will need to have your passport, copy of travel info, and departure slip in order for them to process your tax back. The process will also take at least one hour for them to seek approval for you to buy the watch from their corporate offices (insane) so I would not recommend bringing family (kids or disinterested wife) as they will be sitting around in the store rather than enjoying the beach

Was in Cabo over Memorial weekend - UltraJewels actually had 25-30 watches in the display cases. Mostly DJ of various TT variety and sizes and a yacht master 37 I think. SAs were actually helpful and spent the time answering questions and evaluating options. Wanted to pass on in case anyone had the chance to visit.

I've been going to Cabo since the mid nineties, and that UltraJewlers has always been there, same location too.

I might drop in next time I'm there to check out some Tudors.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but for those who come across this, yes, this is how it works.

Local customers also have a lower AML risk, which makes following KYC rules (if applicable) easier.

I stopped by there literally 2 days ago on the 28th. Cabo UltraJewlers. They had 7 tt datejust41 varies dials. No other mens ss models. Asked about submariners and GMTs since a travel to cabo 2-3 a year. Got the same response as the ADs in the states, get on the waitlist.
