Incoming: 126600 Sea Dweller

I got a very lucky shot today! I walked into an AD in another city to see what I could get there. I asked first for a DJ31 with diamonds for my wife. They got that and took it out the safe. Then I started talking about my piece. A SD would be nice I said, knowing the 2 year wait at my local AD. The SA looked at me, laughed, took his iPad and was silent for 2 minutes. 'Sir, I could get you a SeaDweller out of the safe, would you like me to?' Oh yes!

And here we are?

It's big, but I love it!

The SD43 is the best diver Rolex makes, IMO. What’s your wrist size? Mine fits like a glove on my 7.5” wrist.

~ 17cm/7 inch so could definitely also wear smaller. I just love this model and I think the size looks okay on my wrist too.

Thanks! Apreciated!
Oh yeah, I had to keep my calmth when the SA said he had one available for me. I guess the DJ31 helped.

BTW, he said he could only sell 1 steel sport model per year per customer.

Incredible luck! Such a great watch, been waiting on one almost 6 months now. Can't believe you walked in, and walked out with that!

Congratulations! An awesome watch. I prefer the DSSD JC, but it’s a really close call for me. I’d be thrilled to wear a DS43, too. Just love the presence of the DSSD on the wrist.

Agreed. It's hard to compare the SD43 and DSSD as the near 6mm thick domed crystal and no cyclops of the DSSD takes the watch to the next level one only can appreciate upon ownership.

The AD's must all be getting these in, I just got the call to pick one up yesterday. It really is nice in person, much nicer than I thought it would be.

The sexy matcho SD43. One of the best divers out there. Always looks amazing. Congrats.
PS: I won’t comment on size because I tend to like my watches logs to cover the width of my wrist. That been said, an smartphone wrist shot will always make the watch look way bigger than it really is.

Funny you say this, because that was actually exactly what I was thinking/wondering.
It doesn't look as big in real as on the picture indeed!

In order to get the real perspective without lens distortions use the second lens of your phone which the telephoto lens.
