Is there really a difference between the Kermit and Starbucks?
If there is, what is it?

Ok, I stopped laughing.
Yes, many differences. The 5 digit LV (Kermit) is 40mm with an aluminum bezel insert and an approx 48-hour power reserve with a 3135 movement. The 12 series LV (I refuse to use the S word) is a slightly larger 41mm with a wider bracelet and a ceramic insert. Updated 3235 movement with an approx 70-hour power reserve. Many other differences, but that is a decent start. |

What most call the Kermit is the 16610LV.
The newer 126610LV is sometimes called Starbucks, Cermit, Ceramic Kermit, etc. Some hate nicknames and will not answer questions or condone their use.

This and believe it or not, this is the one nickname that thankfully hasn't caught on. I think it went one stupid name too far!!!

different size,
different bezel, different green color, different case, different bracelet different dial ... I actually think they have iiterally nothing in common I like both, although the Starbucks feels better in person

The 16610LV feels like it's made of tin foil and has perhaps the nicest shade of green on the bezel. The 116610LV feels solidly engineered and has more heft, although it is not heavy. The 126610LV, I imagine, feels more like the 11 series than the 1 series.
But for the bezel, the 12 series and 11 series are essentially different watches. The 1 series is about as different from the 12 series as a green sub date gets, apart from the colour of the dial. |

I was searching the forum and found both names being used for the same reference number.

Evidently, there are a lot of people out there who have enormous sums of money with which to spend on watches, who are somehow mentally and emotionally stuck between nine and twelve years old.
It's frightening, actually.

Nope. Both embellished with a touch of very expensive green color.

Can’t believe this stupid “Starbucks” name is still in use. I thought “Batgirl” was bad but boy was I wrong.
