Ulysse Nardin
My father-in-law got a new Ulysse Nardin watch a couple of weeks ago. I haven't seen it yet, but was told it's a chrono. I think he paid around 5k for it. Anybody here know much about this brand?

Older brand with a great history. Top notch finish on the case and movements and some very innovative newer models like the Freak and Sonata.
I owned a Marine Chronograph in the past, just a beautiful watch with a great bracelet and clasp. Would love to know which model he got. The brand is alot more popular outside of the Americas.

UN is a brand I am very interested in. They have some great technology in their GMT watches, and the 1846 Marine Chronometer is on my list next after I tried it on this past winter.
Probably the watch I want most from UN is the Sonata. I've handled this in person and it's a stunner. Here's a pic (this one's not my picture): The sound of the alarm is incredible. Here's a video I found on line: http://media.putfile.com/Sonata-99 It is not a cheap watch however..... |

They are a great brand IMO, very well designed watches, particularly some of their more 'dressy' versions. They just ooze style, would love to see some pics!
