Na na na na na na na na....Incoming!
I am ecstatic. My SA knows how excited I have been about starting to collect Rolexes and she mentioned they had gotten in a bunch of Datejusts today and…a Batman…on oyster. She said it was the first they had received and it was mine if I wanted it. How could I refuse?
I felt real honored to actually be able to be the first one to get this from them. I live in a pretty big market and I have a small history with them (1 used watch back in march). I would drop in occasionally to say hi and talk about watches since it was a 15 minute walk from me and near where I ran most of my errands. Back in May asked to try on a used Pepsi (aluminum bezel). She showed it to me, and then immediately put it back in the case and said…”don’t buy this, trust me i’ll get you something better”. I decided to trust her, and she DELIVERED. |

I think it looks good on Oyster, but it's always better to have a choice, as we do now. Although I personally prefer the BLRO, when I met a BLNR for the first time last year it was obvious that I had underestimated it. It is a beautiful watch. And until recently, I think Rolex did a better ceramic blue on the bezel of the BLNR. I don't think you can beat the aluminium bezel for warmth and hue but the older watches feel too flimsy and insubstantial to me, particularly for the asking prices. |
