Back to new life……

I’ve got a 116509….a white gold Daytona with metal bezel and bracelet. What the pessimistic might expect to scratch badly. No ceramic or Oysterflex.
Can we rely on Rolex to restore this sort of casework over the years? Can it be done more than once?
Mind you, I should have asked before I bought it!

Yes and you can always replace the bezel during a service if it ever gets to that point

I've had my 509 three years now, largely in daily use (including hiking and other outdoor activities), and don't think it's been particularly susceptible to scratches. Certainly no worse than my sub (back when it was in daily use).

Thank you, that’s encouraging.

I’ve found that, from a short distance, no one can see the love marks. Sure they can be polished out, but it’s not something I worry about. Never had anyone turn up their nose at my “scratched up” watches.
