Incoming 43mm steel roo!

I am extremely excited that I got a call from my salesperson 2 days ago to inform me that the watch I want has been allocated to me. It's only just 2 weeks + after I showed my interest on the 43mm roo. And today is the day I bring my watch home! I was actually hoping that I could get it by year end, but well big surprise for me!

Lovely watch, congrats. Wouldn’t mind seeing a picture or two of the leather strap on your wrist if you can.

Huge congrats, that’s a great watch
And I agree, the Leather strap looks amazing, is that the second strap that comes with the watch or an aftermarket?

It’s the second strap that comes with the watch. Very handsome shade of brown.

Congrats! Is the dial a matte or gloss black?

I viewed this piece Friday. The details of the dial are amazing. Beautiful one. Many congratulations!

The dial is not glossy. The squares of the dial are more like the Royal Oak dials (each square has a pattern). In addition, between the squares there is an x-shaped cross.

Ah, so similar to the matte of the 44s.

My feeling, and others can correct me if I've got it wrong on the black dial (since I only saw it in passing while mostly focusing on the other colors), but in artificial light headon, it looks matte. But at an angle (not looking headon with bright natural light the grooves in the texture pick up the reflection and make it more glossy. I don't recall that being the case with the 44ROO rose gold black dial, but I've only held that watch 2-3 times, and never for extended periods of time outdoors.

Your observation is spot on! That is definitely the case and it’s due to the CNC milling on the dial vs in 44/42 versions where it was a stamped mega tapisserie dial. The latter results in a flat color profile.

With the milling, tons of light hits and bounces in different directions creating a far more dynamic dial depending on lighting conditions

I agree! It’s difficult to give a definite answer because of how the milling plays with lights. The dial actually even appears to be “holographic” in some angles!

Oh yes one more detail to mention- The crown is slightly more rounded than the 44/42mm. It's not as easy to grip while winding it. However, the more rounded crown feels better and I prefer it actually.

I hope really soon, every day I have been waiting by my phone for the text/call.
Dying to have it on my wrist after seeing all the photos.
